St George and Sutherland Homeless Help (SASHH)
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) – 116,000 people were homeless on census night in 2016. Are you one of them, or is your housing at risk or unstable? Or are you a worker providing assistance to people in housing crisis or who find themselves homeless? If yes, and you are based in the Bayside, Georges River and Sutherland Shire local government areas, then SASHH may be able to assist you.
SASHH provides information about the services available for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, those who may have temporary accommodation or experiencing housing issues, and are based in St George (Local government areas of Bayside and Georges River) or Sutherland Shire. This is an initiative responding to the housing crisis affecting our community and making it easier for people to find the appropriate services for their individual needs. This website is coordinated & developed by 2Connect Youth & Community Inc. and provides information about accommodation, financial, food and other services.
TIS National Interpreting Service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for people who have difficulties in communication to Services in English. Please call 131 450 if you need an interpreter.
For deaf, hearing or speech impaired people, please use the National Relay Service using their TTY by dialling 133 677 to contact the Service required.
